There are no tax charges added after the fact.

How sales tax is calculated
Sales tax is determined by the state and local jurisdiction of the shipping address on your order. Tax rates vary by state and in some cases by county or city within a state. The rate applied to your order reflects the rules in effect at the delivery location at the time of purchase.
Tax is calculated and displayed at checkout before you confirm your order. You will see a line item for tax on the checkout page showing the exact amount. The total you confirm at checkout is the total you are charged. No additional tax is added after the order is placed.
In states where shipping charges are taxable, tax may also be applied to any applicable shipping fees. This is shown separately at checkout where it applies. Since all standard orders ship free, this only applies in situations where additional charges are present.
Tax-exempt purchases
Many of our customers are contractors, agricultural operators, government agencies and resellers whose purchases may qualify for sales tax exemption. If your organization holds a valid exemption certificate for the state your order is shipping to, we can apply that exemption to your account before you order.
Tax exemptions are not applied retroactively. If you place an order without letting us know about your exemption first, we cannot remove the tax after the order is placed. Contact us before your first order and we will get the exemption set up on your account.

Who may qualify for a tax exemption
Exemption rules vary by state. The table below lists common categories of buyers who may qualify. This is general information, not tax advice. Whether your specific purchase qualifies depends on your state's rules and the nature of the transaction.

If the tax on your order looks incorrect, contact us before your next order. Common reasons for unexpected tax charges include a delivery address in a high-rate jurisdiction, a taxable shipping charge in certain states, or a previous exemption certificate that has expired.
