What Goes Into Every UltraTrack Track

Every UltraTrack rubber track is engineered with a multi-layer construction system designed for maximum service life under real jobsite conditions.

Continuous Steel Cord Belt — A single continuously wound steel cable runs the full length of the track, eliminating splice points that cause premature failure. This is the same belting method used in OEM tracks.
High-Tensile Steel Links — Drop-forged steel links engage cleanly with your machine's sprocket for smooth power transfer and reduced undercarriage wear.
100% Virgin Rubber Compound — Acid-washed steel cords are bonded through multi-stage vulcanization. No reclaimed or recycled rubber. The result is a track body that resists delamination, cracking, and chunking even under sustained heavy loads.
UV and Ozone Stabilizers — Built-in antioxidants and antiozonants protect against sun and weather degradation, extending track life for machines that sit outdoors between jobs.

Your Undercarriage System

Rubber tracks work as part of a complete undercarriage system. Replacing tracks alongside worn components extends the life of both.

Sprocket — Engages track links to drive the machine forward. Worn teeth cause track slippage and accelerated track wear.
Front Idler — Guides the track and maintains operating tension. A seized or worn idler causes uneven track wear.
Bottom Rollers — Carry the machine's full weight. Leaking seals or flat spots cause vibration and premature track failure.
Top Rollers — Support the upper track run and prevent sag. Often overlooked but critical for track longevity.

Track Care: Getting the Most Hours from Your UltraTrack Tracks

Tension Check — Check track tension at the start of every shift. Over-tensioned tracks accelerate wear on sprockets and idlers. Under-tensioned tracks risk derailment. Refer to your Gehl operator manual for the correct sag measurement.
Clean the Undercarriage — Packed mud, rocks, and debris add weight, increase fuel consumption, and cause uneven wear. Hose out the undercarriage at the end of each day, especially in clay or mud conditions.
Inspect Wear Indicators — Look for cracking between lugs, exposed steel cords, uneven lug height, and missing chunks. If the rubber between lugs is worn to less than 1/4 inch, it is time to replace.
Rotate Travel Direction — When possible, alternate the direction your machine travels on repetitive routes. This distributes wear more evenly across the track surface.
